Fundraising underway!

February 19

Today my father got back from japan, so I invited my friend Lucy (who is also in the F.P.S team) to my house and my Dad taught us how to wash cars. We learnt with my dads car and then went on to wash my mums which we got ten dollars each for. All that took about an hour and a half. After that we went back to Lucy's house and washed her mum's car and the front of her Dads van. All up we spent around three hours cleaning cars. Next weekend we will hopefully go to my Nana’s house and start going door to door asking strangers if they would like their cars washed (which I am slightly nervous for!) Lucy and I ended up making twenty three dollars in cash which I am putting in a jar for safe keeping.

Getting a taste of how hard it is to make money so I want to thank everyone who has donated to my Givealittle page!

Sophia 2013 Selwyn House 1.png

Hi I’m Sophia. I am a year 8 student at Selwyn house school and I am raising money so that I can represent New Zealand in an international competition in America. Some of my interests are speech and drama and Kapa Haka. In the photo I am swinging the Purerehua for my school. I won the speech finals for my school and I am the leader of the school Kapa Haka group. I have never been to America before and I am so excited to go and enjoy the learning
